A fundraiser by NALSAR alumni and current students to provide transportation, food and medical supplies to stranded migrant workers all over India.
What are we doing?
We are working with government, transport service providers and civil society in and around Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and many other areas where requests for assistance have come in – Asind (Rajasthan),Palakkad (Kerala), Shillong – to ensure they have access to food and medicines and are able to get back to their homes if they so wish.
Who are we?
We are a loose collective of students and alumni from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. We refer to ourselves as ‘NALSAR for Migrant Workers’ but are not a registered society or organisation.
How are we doing this?
Our civil society collaborators are working on the ground to ensure that those most in need are prioritised. In addition to travel, we are raising funds for food distribution, medical kits and sanitation packs for the workers in this predicament.
